Expert Raw app will soon get Custom Preset feature and Save Format menu.

Samsung’s flagships offer top-of-the-line hardware specs for excellent performance. Likewise, the camera app of Galaxy devices is everything you could wish for. To unleash the full potential of the camera unit, the company introduced the Expert Raw app. As Samsung says, it’s “everything you need to be a professional photographer”. The upcoming update of the app will bring some features including Custom Preset feature and Save Format menu.

As a reminder, the Expert Raw app launched in November last year. The captured RAW files contain uncompressed and unprocessed images in which the most important details are stored. The user can further edit the images, compress them and convert them to other formats. Additionally, there are multiple settings to play with, resulting in amazing output.

Apart from that, the team is preparing to introduce two more features. First, there is a custom presets feature that allows users to save their custom camera settings and use them to take pictures again. That means you don’t have to change the setting every time you take a photo. Secondly, there is the Save Format menu that allows users to save the images output via the Expert RAW app in RAW or JPEG format.

Expert Raw is now available for the Galaxy S22 series, Galaxy S21 Ultra and Galaxy Z Fold 3. The owners of the respective smartphones can download the app via the Galaxy Store. Although the team is working to extend availability to other devices as well. With that in mind, the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra will be the next phone to gain Expert Raw app support.
