Rumor: Persona 5 Royal could release alongside other Persona games


Nintendo gamers have most likely been waiting for what feels like an eternity for the arrival of Persona 5 Royal on the Nintendo Switch. And there may or may not be hope. After months of speculation about various games and franchise sequels making their way to Xbox and Gamepass. The most recent showcase in June offered turn-based RPG players the exciting prospect of the Persona mainline catalog, with plans to port Persona 3 Portable, Persona 4 Golden, and Persona 5 Royal to Xbox and PC.

Factoring in events like this, it’s even more surprising to consider that no mainline Persona titles have made their way to the Nintendo Switch yet. Joker was on Super Smash Brothers Ultimate years at this point, and the character implementation was soon followed by the release of Persona 5 Strikers on the Nintendo Switch. Despite fan speculation and anticipation, who saw the addition of Joker to SSBU as a sign of things to come, no mainline Persona titles were released on console.
