Take your eyes off all the upcoming E3 and E3 summer showcases for a moment, folks. Just so you don’t forget, summer is also bringing game sales for games you can actually play now instead of games you will be playing in three years. GOG has launched its mega summer sale starting with some limited-time game and DLC packs that are only available for the first 48 hours. Additionally, you have until June 28th to choose your favorites from the other thousands of games on offer.
If you’re interested in these limited time offers, all you have to do is scroll down for a moment GOG’s main page right now. With the sequel finally having a release date for this December, it might be a good time to take on Dying Light and a handful of its DLCs that are bundled together with a 70% discount (£ 11.99 / $ 17.99).
You might also want to try the fantasy party RPG GreedFall, which includes some of its gear DLC with the base game. has thrown 66% discount (£ 14.99 / $ 16.99). Personally, I found it pretty mediocre BioWare-esque. In the second half, however, it’s really a solid accomplishment, so more than half isn’t a bad rate to get at.
These are some of the decisions that you will need to act on relatively quickly if you want to snag the DLC bundle discounts, available through Friday, June 11th at 1pm UTC. GOG says more flash deals will be available on Friday and other locations during the sale.
You have two and a half weeks to think about everything else. Since I’m a fan of co-op games, I’ll point you out some of my favorites.
- Trine: Ultimate Collection is a bundle of all four excellent side-scrolly action battle puzzle games for a 70% discount (£ 11.99 / $ 14.99). They are all sold individually, too.
- Outwardly, the action RPG is very swollen and I really enjoy exploring it without holding hands also 70% less (£ 10.49 / $ 11.99).
- Heroes of Hammerwatch is a good time too, a run-based hack ‘n slash RPG for a 60% discount (£ 3.79 / $ 4.79). This one comes under a five, which makes it easy to get friends to try.
For other fans of classic and classic role-playing games in the room, you can find Baldur’s Gate and Icewind Dale on sale. Divinity: Original Sin and the sequel are in there too. GOG says there are over 3400 discounted items in total, so I’m sure there is something for everyone.
GOG’s summer sale is now up and running until June 28th at 1:00 p.m. UTC.
