Google is preparing everything for the launch of Pixel 6
The Pixel 6 launch is imminent, and it looks like Google is making sure all the little things are in place before it releases. After the company has already updated almost all relevant core apps with the new Material You design language, the company has now started rolling out an update for the Pixel Sounds app with new graphics and tons of new ringtones.
As discovered by 9to5Google, the redesigned Sounds app gets rid of the blue font and black and white design, making way for much cleaner white and gray colors in the dark design or black and white for the light design. Like the rest of the system settings, the update also moves the app bar further down for reasons of accessibility, only when scrolling up. The two-column, tiled start page makes room for a neat list that is sorted in a rectangle with rounded corners.
Our ears are ready for a new “Material Adventures” collection available in all three categories of sounds: alarms, notifications, and calls. It consists of a total of 42 new sounds, with 14 for each type. What they all have in common is that they are less flashy and more melodic than the older options, with softer, less defined sounds. They go perfectly with the other Android 12 ringtones that were introduced a little earlier.
If you have a Pixel phone, check the Play Store for the update. We will let you know as soon as the new Sounds app is available on APK Mirror. For those with other phones, we’ve made all of the Pixel sounds available for download here in this post, and we’ll update them with the new sounds as soon as we get our hands on the update ourselves.
