“There’s a lot I want to say” – Raiders Beat

For the third time this season, the Raiders gambled away a 17-point lead and it became apparent that there were problems in the dressing room. But the exact nature of these problems remains a mystery.

Speaking to media after Sunday’s game, Derek Carr was unusually close to venting his emotions.

“I think there’s a lot I want to say, but to be honest I don’t have to say it here,” Carr said as he paused several times to consider what to say.

“Things are being said that need to be addressed and all those things, but overall I think the urgency is that after 30 minutes of football we have to learn that the game isn’t over,” Carr continued. “I feel like I’ve been in this situation many times before [we have] new coaches, or this or that, you have to teach the new guys, ‘this is how we do it’… and it’s exhausting, but at the same time it’s my job. I’m saying that for now, but there are things in the house that we’re going to talk about man-to-man…”

Coincidentally, the team’s live stream from the press conference started from Carr’s comments at the end…

Sooner or later the stories will leak out, but for now all we know is that there is. Whether it is up to the players or the coaches remains to be seen.

However, we may have gotten a little hint from one of the team’s respected beat writers after the game…
